This Owala water bottle is going viral on TikTok

TikTok is full of product recommendations for just about everything. The platform’s latest obsession: a sub-$30 reusable water bottle from a low-key brand – and it’s so popular that the hashtag #owalawaterbottle has topped 47.4 million views. Let it sink in. The phenomenon in question: the mega-popular Owala FreeSip stainless steel insulated water bottle, which keeps drinks cold for hours. At first glance, the Owala water bottle looks like any other nice refillable bottle: a stainless steel exterior, a leak-proof lid, a carrying loop for easy carrying. It’s what’s under the lid that counts, though.

The bottle has a dual-purpose spout that allows for sips (just tilt it back for a big sip) and a built-in straw for upright sipping. A button keeps the spouts closed, plus an extra lock for added security (and so it won’t leak into your purse).

The bottle is available in three sizes – 24, 32 and 40 ounces – and 10 colors. The 24-ounce is the one currently discounted to the lowest price of 2023, with some colors starting at $18 (though most ring in the $20-$23 range).
